Windows 10 May 2019 Update is now available for Windows Insiders in the Release Preview Ring

Following the release of Microsoft’s new Edge Insider web browser earlier today, the software giant has just announced that the Windows 10 May 2019 Update is now available for Windows Insiders in the Release Preview Ring. As the company explained last week, the major update will spend some time in the Release Preview ring before it starts rolling out to all Windows 10 users in may.

If you’re already in the Release Preview Ring, you can get the May 2019 update by simply checking for updates in Windows Update. In case you want to join the Release Preview ring today, you can do so going to o Settings > Update & Security > Windows Insider Program and click the “Get started” button.

Microsoft is shipping the build 18362.30 to Release Preview Insiders today, which is the same build that shipped to Fast and Slow Ring Insiders last week. “Once your PC is on the May 2019 Update, we will continue to release Cumulative Updates over the coming weeks that improves your experience,” the Windows Insider team explained.

As the Fast Ring will soon be merged with the Skip Ahead ring and shift to 20H1 builds, Fast Ring Insiders who want to stay on the May 2019 update can do so by switching to the Slow or Release Preview rings today. Microsoft reiterated today that Windows 10 19H2 builds are coming later this spring to test the next Windows 10 update to be released this Fall, but the company isn’t ready yet to share any details the proceedings.
